Our book journey began back in 2014 when we decided it was time to start a family. After many months of failed attempts, endless trips to the fertility doctor, and about 100 blood tests later, our spirits were low and we were feeling defeated. One day my husband, the king of great ideas, came home from work and told me he wrote a story. He told me he wrote a quick draft specifically for me, so that I could write a children’s book. As an English major I never planned to be what I am today, an Executive Assistant. Although I wear many hats at work, it’s not the most creatively driven job in the world. Writing has always been a passion of mine, and I have my sweet husband to thank for being so persistent and making this book happen. Maybe a writing career is on the horizon. Our little miracle baby (AKA Logan the dolphin in our story) is a little over 3 years old. Things have been very crazy, but the dream of getting our story published never died. Fast forward 5 years later, here we are, on the verge of publishing our book. I have read Logan the story, he loves his character. Seeing his face light up, to watch him be excited to see his character illustrated when at the time he was just a dream in our hearts is truly fulfilling. I hope you will love Champ and Nessie as much as we do!
